I say, Ben from Lost.
That sure sounds like Spacey. He is a producer on the movie "Bernard and Doris" being shown on HBO this month. Maybe the voiceover was part of the deal.
And of course, there's the "Usual Suspects" connection with Byrne.

I think it's Michael Emerson, the guy who plays Ben Linus on Lost.
