That really was an amazing rendition of "Oh Holy Night." It was essential to the episode that the performance live up to the characters' reactions, and it did not fail.
In general, the show has really been hitting its stride over the last several episodes. It seems that Sorkin has gotten the need to telegraph his messages out of his system and the depth of the characters and the wit of the writing has really started to shine through. Studio 60 really has the potential to be one of the best shows on television if it continues with episodes like the Christmas show.
